Voltage Monitoring Relay HRN-43N/230V
This relay is designed for monitoring voltage in 3-phase networks. The HRN-43N type monitors voltage against the neutral conductor. The relay can monitor voltage in two levels (overvoltage/undervoltage), phase sequence/failure, and phase asymmetry. Each fault condition is indicated by a separate LED. By selecting the DIP switch "Output," you can choose the function of the output contacts: independent function (1× for overvoltage, 1× for undervoltage) or in parallel. A fixed time delay (t1) is applied when transitioning from a fault to a normal state or during a voltage outage. The adjustable time delay Umax/Umin (t2) is applied when transitioning from a normal state to a fault state. This prevents incorrect behavior and oscillation of the output device during short-term drops and spikes.
Voltage Monitoring
The upper level Umax is set in the range of 138–276 V, and the lower level Umin is set in the range of 35–99% Umax. If any phase deviates from this set range, the output contact will disconnect after the set delay. The output contact will reconnect when returning to the monitored range and surpassing the fixed hysteresis (selectable with the DIP switch "Hysteresis"). In the event of two or three phases failing, the output contacts will immediately disconnect regardless of the set delay t2.
Phase Sequence
It monitors the correct phase sequence. In the event of an unwanted change, the output contacts will disconnect. After turning on the relay with an incorrect phase sequence, the output contact remains disconnected.
Asymmetry
The level of asymmetry between individual phases is set in the range of 5–20%. If the set asymmetry is exceeded, the output contact will disconnect, and the LED indicating asymmetry will light up. Time delays t1, t2, and hysteresis are applied when transitioning to a normal state. Monitoring asymmetry can be disabled with the DIP switch "ASYM."
