Symmetrical sector antennas are scalar antennas in the shape of a horn or funnel with a symmetrical radiation pattern and a groundbreaking TwistPort connector. Symmetrical sector antennas offer the perfect combination of features that address the weaknesses of current antenna technologies.
Unique antenna radiation
Traditional sector antennas radiate a signal in a wide but very flat pattern with many undesirable side lobes that change with frequency. The traditional radiation pattern is a source of unwanted interference and issues when deploying antennas in the same location. Symmetrical sector antennas offer a radiation pattern with a unique shape and properties. A portion of the beam is circular, so the vertical and horizontal radiation angles are identical. The radiation does not change with frequency, and the antenna gain is balanced across a wide frequency range.
Dead Zone-Free Coverage
The coverage of traditional sector antennas has a specific shape - if the AP is too high, clients close to it suffer from low signal quality. As the saying goes, "the darkest place is under the candle." Symmetrical sector antennas emit a symmetrical signal with a circular-shaped beam, similar to the glow of a torch. As a result, the coverage with signal from symmetrical sector antennas is nearly dead zone-free, and clients close to the AP will be satisfied.
TwistPort Connector
Symmetrical sector antennas feature a unique quick-release TwistPort connector. The TwistPort connector is virtually lossless, with no coaxial connectors or RF cables causing signal loss. Connecting and disconnecting the antenna and the radio is simple, fast, and can be done with just one hand.

Symmetrical sector antennas naturally have weakened side lobes and rear radiation. There is no need to fight against unwanted interference, and reflectors and shading elements are not required.
