The ETH-SP-G2 surge protector is specifically designed to protect outdoor Ubiquiti devices from damage caused by electrostatic discharges or power surges. With its durable construction featuring IPX5 protection rating and ability to absorb transient currents with surge voltages from 100 V/s to 1 kV/µs, it effectively protects your network equipment from adverse atmospheric events.
The device supports both passive 24/48V PoE and active PoE (802.3af) power, as well as data transfer rates up to 2.5 Gbps. When properly installed and grounded, it can protect connected devices even during a 100V surge lasting 1 second or a discharge of 1 kV/µs.
